About the Manning Family Children’s Holiday Parade
With an unwavering commitment to child health, Manning Family Children’s proudly serves as the only, freestanding comprehensive children’s hospital serving Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Throughout our more than 70-year history, we have transformed countless lives with a vision to make Louisiana a national leader in child health and wellbeing.
Today, Manning Family Children’s is a 263-bed, not-for-profit pediatric medical center offering a comprehensive range of services for children from birth to 21 years, with more than 550 pediatric physicians and 2,400 employees solely dedicated to the care of kids.
Throughout our history, we have been proud stewards of compassionate care for all children, delivering expert pediatric care right here at home – regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
With pediatric academic medical programs with both LSU Health New Orleans and Tulane University School of Medicine, Manning Family Children’s is proud to provide the highest level of care for children from across the Gulf South. Just last year, we proudly cared for 680,000 children – the most ever in our history.
As we look to the future, together we will continue to move Louisiana from last in pediatric health outcomes to being a national leader in child health and wellbeing.

Manning Family Children’s Holiday Parade returns to downtown New Orleans
The Manning Family Children’s Holiday Parade, which debuted in 2022, is coming back for a fourth year. The parade will take place in downtown New Orleans on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m.

The holiday season gets started New Orleans-style on Dec. 6, when the 4th annual Manning Family Children’s Holiday Parade hits the streets in the French Quarter and Warehouse District.
The 2023 Children’s Hospital New Orleans Holiday Parade is back with a new route
The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Holiday Parade will be back for a second year, on Dec. 2, with a different route, more throws and a post-parade party featuring Trombone Shorty. Santa is, of course, expected to ride on his sled, mounted on a special float.
